Tramuntana Flow is delighted to offer you the 4th Annual Yoga Retreat in Mallorca. A group of yoga teachers, vegetarian chefs and supporters are volunteering to aid the Haiti School Building Project and the Nou Horitzó – La Salle Project in the beautiful LA CASA DE LA CALMA.

NOU HORITZO – LA SALLE PROJECT

Nou Horitzó – La Salle Project is defined as a service for young people leaving youth centres. The project supports young men and women assimilating social skills and suitable education to find a job and reach a normal adult life. Each young man or woman signs an educational contract committing to carry out this process of emancipation, working on being responsible with the support of a mentor.

 

HELP HEAL HUMANITY

Help Heal Humanity is dedicated to providing an education for at-risk children in Haiti regardless of religious belief, political affiliation, or financial ability. In addition to being a school, the surrounding community will also use the site as an adult learning centre in the evenings. In this way, the entire community of Canaan will be serviced.

 

YOGA PROGRAMM

DENNIS WITTMANN

Born in Germany and raised in Mallorca, the quest for meaning and a path of joy and adventure in life, very early came in front of Dennis’ door. There followed years of search and some big dramas, that eventually led him to yoga.

After several years in the ashram and training in various yoga traditions – both Swamis and “Normal Yogis” – Dennis has now found his own style. For him, yoga is above all about teaching suitable for the student. The teacher who most characterizes Dennis here is Dr. Patrick Broome and Yong Ho Kim.

The central aspect of Dennis’ practice and teaching is to change the habits physically and mentally, by working strongly but loveey with the body and the energy of the breath.

ANGELA FUSTER

Born and brought up in Mallorca Angela always felt a special curiosity for other cultures and places. She lived abroad for over a decade studying and teaching phonetics and speech perception at several European Universities.

Angela started practicing yoga 18 years ago. She completed several 200hr and 500hr teacher trainings with YogaWorks, Mark Darby, Shiva Rea, Anusara and Meghan Currie and has been teaching yoga for over a decade. During this weekend she will be teaching Feet-up classes.

Her playful and imaginative style allows her to make creative sequencing and to deliver a sweet, yet powerful yoga class. She speaks from a truthful heart, willingly sharing her wisdom in a caring, attentive and supportive environment. Angela’s classes are a blend of clear alignment instruction plus flow, powerful yet calming. Through the connection of breath and movement, she focuses on how to work on an energetic level of the yoga postures.

Serena is an International Special Education Specialist and President of the Help Heal Humanity. She will be giving talks and presentations the Haiti School Building Project created by Help Heal Humanity. The school, which was opened in September 2019, is in Canaan, a small city 12 Km north of the capital Port-au-Prince. Serena is a force of nature. She is rooted in service to others, and hauls herself over every obstacle using the pitons of hard work, dedication and determination. She believes unreservedly in her ability to shed light in dark places, and that with love and guidance any dream is possible.

 

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

CAROLINA ALBERTONI

Carolina will be the main chef during the charity retreat. With love and care she will cook organic and local products to offer an exquisite vegetarian and vegan menu. Carolina is a creative burst. As an experienced health food chef she concocts ingredients from the earth to the plate with all the love, colours and freshness each season offers. As a fashion designer with the purpose of enhancing the femininity inherent in every woman. Creating as some say “dresses that dance”

Carolina will be taking care of your nourishment leaving your palates delighted.

ABIDA BOUSI

Abida Bousi will be also cooking with all her passion and expertise for the charity retreat. She cooks from her childhood with a strong influence of other cultures, such as Italian, Lebanese, African among others. Abida cooks from the heart with fresh and seasonal products, healthy food with surprising flavours, with the idea of food as a symbol of communion and generosity among people.

Tramuntana Flow is a retreat space that brings together the best yoga facilities and beautiful accommodations in a peaceful environment that helps to restore the mind-body-soul balance through yoga, meditation and nutrition.

La Casa de la Calma, in the pittoresk village of Sa Cabaneta in Mallorca, is a beautiful place of peace that offers simplicity and comfort. The Zen inspired decoration reflects balance and harmony. The gardens with astonishing views of the mountains and valley offer a wonderful place to relax and read under the shape of palm trees. In the summer guests are welcome to use the large rectangular swimming pool. The spacious yoga shala overlooking the Tramuntana Mountains is equipped with all necessary props. The sound of birds and nature are the background music in Savasana.

Sonja is a yoga teacher, educator, life artist and author and above all loves to spread happiness and joy. She is mother of Robin (21 years old), Leo (born in July 2013) and Johanna (born June 2015), in love and married, 45 years old and she loves life, her family, flamenco, yoga, her three cats and especially her job.
