The Malnutrition Hospital, also known as Mother Teresa’s Home of the Dying, is located in an extremely impoverished neighbourhood in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It is where the poorest of the poor often go to die. Since the hospital struggles with under staffing, and patients often die alone, we at HHH volunteer our time here.
When our team is on the ground in Haiti, we volunteer for 3 hours a day, 3 days a week, at the hospital. We assist the nurses by helping to feed the patients and doing what we can to improve hygiene.
Tragically, many of the patients at the hospital have no families and die alone. We spread love to those who are dying by holding their hands, giving massages, sitting quietly sharing our love.
By collecting medical supplies, HHH has provided the hospital with first aid kits, medication, ointments, and eyeglasses.
