Executive Director
Serena Bufalino is a force of nature. She is rooted in service to others and hauls herself over every obstacle using the pitons of hard work, dedication, and determination. What began as a career as a teacher under the Section 23 program with Toronto’s at-risk youth, has evolved into a lifetime of service work empowering and inspiring people across the globe. Serena has taught in detention centres, mental health hospitals, and group homes. In 2011, the Haiti School Building Project was born, when her Section 23 students, insisted “Miss B, you say we can do anything, so let’s build a school.” In partnership with John Callaghan of Third World Awareness over $100,000 was fundraised and a school in Canaan, Haiti for one hundred students was constructed. Today, Serena, alongside a group of global movers and shakers, runs Help Heal Humanity and intends to change the world one “yes” at a time. Serena holds a BA from McMaster University

Chief Visionary Officer
Patricia is an accomplished International Contemporary Artist, Author and Humanitarian/Visionary. She supported the building of a library and school in Angkor Wat, Cambodia in 2006. In 2013, Patricia was Knighted as a Dame of the International Order of St. George Grand Prior of Canada Niagara Commandery and was a member of the Ontario Cabinet for Friends of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. She is a member of the Sir Edmund Hilary Foundation Board, and a Paul Harris recipient from Rotary. Among her awards, she is the recipient of the YMCA Peace Medal and is recognized by WXN (Women’s Executive Network) as one of the Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada awarded the BMO Arts and Communication award in 2015, Royal Bank Champion in 2016 and BMO Arts and Communication in 2017. Patricia was inducted into the WXN Hall of Fame in 2018. She has received many awards and recognitions including the Cananadian Civil Liberties award.
President and Chair
Mark Falzon is currently the CEO and Founder of Marco Group Inc. Consulting. He is an accomplished and results-driven manager. Among Mark's many skill sets, he oversees and facilitates the role of; Operations and Strategic Planning Executive with broad-based expertise in building and leading effective strategies for business operations. He is honoured to be serving Help Heal Humanity and is excited to bring his record of success establishing relationships and motivating teams to this position.
“I am excited to be working with the Help Heal Humanity team and with peers who bring passion and energy to this organization's already stellar achievements”. Mark brings a diverse and expanded experience base to this role, being the Executive Director of Operations for Mandarin Franchise Group (Uncle Bob’s Buffet), Director of Operations Panera Bread, Ontario Operations Manager at Great Clips Inc. and a previous Multi-unit franchisee owner of three restaurants here in Ontario.
He believes through love, positivity and empowerment, anything and everything is possible and will echo around the world for years to come.
Director
Rowena is an International Speaker, Social Entrepreneur, Investor and Survivor of Lupus. With over 18 years in the not-for-profit and public sector, health promotion, stakeholder and community engagement, her passion and service to humanity is what drives her. Rowena has traveled both professionally as a volunteer to over 30 countries around the world including Tanzania, the Northern Arctic, and Siberia, to work with local physicians to provide basic health care to those living in remote communities.
As an international speaker and health advocate, she has been featured at the Future Public Health Leaders Conference, The World Conference on Tobacco and Health, and many media outlets to share her story of survival and inspiration. Currently, Rowena sits on the board as a Patient Advisor for the Toronto Western Lupus Clinic and has a community of 15,000 in over 100 countries to support those living with Lupus. Rowena also runs a venture experience focused on helping people transform their financial fitness, as well as their health. Her mission is to redefine what is possible for people by spreading hope, transforming lives, and empowering people.
Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Jane has an extensive background in finance and over thirty years of experience in small business consulting in the private, and not-for-profit sectors. She is the President of McCormick Consulting Group, which specializes in business technology consulting, and she is the CEO of Ormond Industrial Tools Ltd. in Hamilton, Ontario.
To increase Jane's knowledge, Jane went back to school after a 25-year career to study Psychology and Political Economics. She is nearly completed a four-year program. Jane sits on the board of the Rotary Passport Club in Oakville as Foundation Chair. She has raised 10 children and is an avid amateur photographer.
Creative Director
Laura’s path to Creative Director started in Lisbon, Portugal and has taken her to many places including Vancouver, London, England, and Toronto. In 2011, Laura landed her first job at a book publishing firm designing educational flash games for textbook CD ROMs. Laura has been a creative director, working for Unit9, Nexus, and now Jam3. She is currently developing interactive storytelling projects in AR, Web technologies for The NFB, Google, Samsung, Amazon, Estee Lauder, and Netflix. Laura was head of the digital department at Warner Bros. Records (UK).
Laura is involved in multiple mentorship programs in Portugal, UK, and Canada. She also provides pro-bono services to non-profits such as "A Woman’s Worth and One Cause a Day". Laura, developed her personal project ReMIND Academy - a community-based learning program which stimulates critical thinking and creativity in young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
She holds a BA in Communication Design, an MA in New Media, a Diploma in Digital Design and is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
Secretary
Ms. Natali Soroka is a Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow. She is part of Rotary International, which is a service organization of business and professional leaders, united worldwide. Natali has been actively involved in community service projects from disaster relief to working with cancer patients, assisting children with disabilities, victims of domestic violence and many others.
In 2013 she graduated with first class Honors, from Odessa National University, Ukraine earning a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Political Sciences. . Ukrainian by origin, Natali speaks 6 languages: Ukrainian, Arabic, English, Japanese, Turkish and Russian. She started her career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the United Nations. After moving to Dubai, she pursued her corporate work experience with Emirates Airlines and Majid Al Futtaim Properties as an Executive Assistant to the CEO, later working for the Association of Rotary Clubs UAE.
Natali is a member of the Protocol Officers Association. She is passionate about humanitarian services, women empowerment, human rights and work with refugees. Her hobbies include golf, equestrian sport, cooking and traveling. She holds a brown belt in Takewon-do.
Global Communications Director
Sunny began his career in Communications at the age of 7 when he was selected as a voice (child) actor by All India Radio. He was encouraged by the school Principal, Sister Stanislaus (a Catholic missionary), to translate (from English to Hindi) and enact Shakespeare’s plays on stage. While a resident at the Convent, he founded a drama/music group to work for social causes and raise funds for natural calamities. Academically, Sunny has an Honors degree in History, Economics & English Literature (he was awarded the President of India Gold Medal for topping his batch) and a Master’s degree in French & Medieval Indian History. Sunny has more than 33 years of professional marketing and communication experience spread across India, UAE, East Africa, United States and Canada.
He is an extremely agile & versatile communicator, part-time marketing Professor, creative marketer, event organizer and an active participant in the production of digital audio & video content. His professional career crossed over 3 continents working with Fortune 500 companies including Barclay’s Bank, Western Union Financial Services, Daimler Chrysler and Unilever, plus a host of B2B & B2C companies within the financial, insurance, pharmaceutical, automobile, airlines and retail sectors. Sunny lives with his wife, 2 grown up sons, and two Persian cats – Miss Marbles & B2 - in Mississauga, Ontario.
Communications Directors
Ania’s passion for communication stems from her commitment to building bridges and relationships, both individually and corporately. Ania has 10+ years of experience in strategic communications, supporting initiatives within multiple areas in the provincial health care sector, including one of Canada’s largest hospitals.
She was awarded the International Association of Business Communicators with an Ovation Award for multi-audience communications. She has a dual degree from the University of Toronto and has provided writing, editing and strategic communication expertise to a variety of clients through her freelance consultancy since 2008.
Ania’s belief in mentorship and equal opportunities for others prompted her to join Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Canada in 2011. Ania, enjoys spending time with her family, whipping up delicious food, horseback riding and all things feline, particularly her pet cat, Baraka.
Financial Advisor
Blair is a well- rounded finance professional providing financial and tax advice to business owners and not-for-profit clients in and around the GTHA. He is passionate about financial literacy and the importance to our society. He volunteers through CPA Canada's Financial Literacy program, presenting to groups of all ages in an effort to bolster individuals’ confidence and competence in all things money related .
He looks forward to bringing a level headed approach to HHH's operations to ensure the Organization will financially flourish and be able to support those individuals most in need.
Content Manager
Jennifer has worked with at-risk youth for over 15 years with the Toronto District School Board. She currently teaches on the Concurrent Youth Unit at Toronto's Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. In addition to teaching, Jennifer is also a PhD candidate in the Department of Social Justice Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, with a special research focus on race and gender in Canadian cultural institutions.
She has also had a varied journalism career, writing for publications such as National Post, Chatelaine, Today’s Parent, Curbed, Toronto Storeys, NOW magazine and BlogTV. As a Content Manager, she has worked for clients including Boost Agents, TCGPR, HOSS magazine, Colleges Ontario and others.
Treasurer USA
Ryan is the Owner and Operator of Legacy Hospitality. Ryan developed the team for Legacy Hospitality LLC, The VIG Chicago LLC, The Whale Chicago LLC, and Welcome Back Lounge Chicago LLC. Mark sits on the Board of Directors for The Chicago Leadership Alliance, GoCivicChicago.org, The Old Town Merchants and Residents Association, and has been asked to participate with the Illinois Restaurant Association.
He previously sat on the board of the Sheffield Neighbourhood Association. He is involved with the MS Society, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Immerman’s Angels, The Haiti School Building Project and The Holiday Heroes Foundation.
Dine for Humanity
Tommy was born in Amsterdam, raised in Italy, and then ventured to Mallorca, Spain to build his empire and dream of being a Chef. Tommy has always had a desire to spread love through his passion of creating unique dishes and serving others. His culinary experiences began in 1998 working with various artists. Tommy was the executive chef for various celebrity clients and has catered many high end private dinner parties to managing various restaurants throughout all of Europe.
In 2010 Tommy moved to Spain, in order, to build, create and successfully run one of the top restaurants in Mallorca, Spain - Limoncello Restaurant and Pizzeria. His passion to serve others through food is what drew him to HHH. Tommy feeds Mallorca’s homeless and curates some of the most beautiful dinner parties on behalf of HHH.
Vice President Canada and Secretary USA
Through her years in Indigenous and Government relations and policy, along with starting her own business “Paintings of Life and Love” Evalisa’s personal mission is to build coalitions and understanding across humanity for a more compassionate future.
She was recently a Senior Advisor for Chiefs of Ontario, and currently curates Art and Business Diversity exhibits with the Canadian Consulate in Los Angeles. She graduated from Harvard and is thrilled to serve as Art Director of our youth empowerment charity Help Heal Humanity. She loves cycling, hiking in L.A. and learning about great people's lives, loves, and legacy on her leadership podcast “Stories of Life and Love”. Yoga for Humanity
Born and raised in Mallorca, Spain, Angela always felt a special curiosity for other cultures and places. She lived abroad for over a decade studying and teaching phonetics and speech perception at several European Universities. Angela started practicing yoga 18 years ago and became a yoga Master and founder of Tramuntana Flow Yoga Retreat Center in Mallorca, Spain.
Angela became involved in social projects where solidarity plays a major role. She met the likeminded spirit, Serena Bufalino, in 2016 and decided to support the Haiti School Project. .In 2018 Angela founded her own charity, Asociación Tramuntana Flow, where she shares her passion for Yoga on and off the mat. She donates the space and organizes yearly yoga retreats with the help of volunteer yoga teachers, Chefs and Therapists. Each donate their time and expertise with the retreat fees fully donated to the charity projects.
